Indian American Association (IAA) Chicago, Illinois Celebrated India’s 71st Republic Day by hosting a large colorful cultural program on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Pearl Banquets in Roselle, Illinois.

Indian American Association (IAA) representing largest number of Indian Americans in all over the United States and hosted the largest colorful event of the year and left other local organizations of Chicago land behind and becomes the 3rd largest Organization of the Nation after FIA New York and FIA New Jersey.

IAA invited two celebrities, Bollywood actress Neetu Chandra and Miss South Asia International Manjari Parikh along with large number of dignitaries in the event.

McLeod, Mayor of Hoffman Estates, Mr. Joe Gallo, Mayor of Rolling Meadows, Mrs. Joe Gallo, Mr. Kevin B. Morrison Cook County Commissioner 15th District, Mr. Amit Jhingran CEO SBI, Ms. Malini Vaidhyanathan Air India Manager, Midwest, Mr. Chandra Choodan Ex IMF, Mr. Jatinder Singh Bedi, Chief Editor Hello NRI, Mr. Michael Devivo, New York life, Mr. Onkar Singh Sangha, Founder FIA Joiner, Mr. Dhitu Bhagwakar Founder FIA Joiner, and Mr Jitender Digwankar Indian Community Leader attended the colorful program.

The Republic Day Program began as per the schedule at 6:00 PM sharp hosted by co Emcees Seetha Bala and Mahima waghela and Miss Asia International Manjari Parikh as the main emcee started with American and Indian National Anthems.

The lamp-lighting ceremony was performed by IAA President as well as the dignitaries including Chief Guest Consul General of India Sudhakar Dalela, Mr. William D. McLeod, Mayor of Hoffman Estates, Mr. Joe Gallo, Mayor of Rolling Meadows, Mrs. Joe Gallo, Mr. Kevin B. Morrison Cook County Commissioner 15th District, Mr. Amit Jhingran CEO SBI, Mrs. Amit Jhingran, Mrs. Malini Vaidhyanathan Air India Meg, Midwest, Mr Chandra Choodan, Michael Devivo, New York life were also present.

The Welcome Dance was performed by Kalanjali dance School, followed by the Oath ceremony. Mr. William D. McLeod Mayor of Hoffman Estates helped the Oath to IAA elected Board of 2020.

IAA President Nawab Mir Hamid Ali Khan; Vice Presidents of IAA Kameshwari Bulusu, Ishaan Ahmed, Mir Mujahid Ali, Raju Shah, and Dr. John Togaru; Shahid Razvi is the General Sectary; Directors, Ms Umaira Khan, Dr. Bheemi Ready, Ms Amy Mehta and Mary Togaru took the Oath. Vice Presidents Dr. Laxman Singh and Ms Sanhita Agnihotri, Fareed Sabiri (Treasurer) Dr. Bashir Ameji, director was not present at the oath ceremony.

Manjari Parikh presented her beautiful dance and Neetu Chandra presented a beautiful dance with Desi Hoppers Group on “Lab Pe Aati Hai Dua Banke Tamanna Meri” This dua Was Written By The Great Poet A Freedom Fighter A Wali of Allah Allama Muhammad Iqbal.

Beautiful dances were performed by Ahana Dance Group (Students of North West University), Desi Hoppers, Kalanjali Dance Academy of Rockford (Choreographed by Sridevi) and Nalinapadam Dance School.
