Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa on Monday said that people from Gujarat, Maharashtra, Kerala and Tamil Nadu will not be allowed in the state till May 31.
After a meeting with state ministers and senior government officers to discuss the guidelines issued by the Centre regarding the fourth phase of nationwide lockdown, Yediyurappa said:
"We have decided not to allow entry of people from Gujarat, Maharashtra, Kerala and Tamil Nadu till May 31”.
As per the report, State road transport corporation buses in Karnataka and private buses will run. Strict lockdown measures in containment zones and economic activities will be permitted in other areas. Sundays will be total lockdown across the state.

The Chief Minister further said that all shops will be allowed to open and all trains running within the state will be permitted.
With 5,242 new cases in the last 24 hours, the highest number of cases in a single day, India's COVID-19 tally reached 96,169 on Monday.
Meanwhile, with an increase of 157 deaths in the last 24 hours, the number of deaths in the country due to COVID-19 has risen to 3,029.
According to the data provided by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the total number of active cases in the country is 56,316. Meanwhile 36,824 persons have been cured/discharged/migrated.
Among the Indian states, Maharashtra remains to be the worst affected with 33,053 positive COVID-19 cases, including 1,198 deaths.
Gujarat remains the second-worst hit at 11,379 infections. 659 people have lost their lives to the deadly contagious virus in the state so far. It is followed by Tamil Nadu (11,224) and Delhi (10,054).
Till now, Kerala has reported 601 Coronavirus cases with four deaths. Kerala reported 14 fresh cases on Sunday, taking the total tally of active cases to 101.
On Sunday, Karnataka has recorded 54 new COVID-19 positive cases. As of now,a total of 1,146 cases have been reported from the state while 37 people have died due to the deadly virus. With 37 deaths and 497 discharges, there are 611 active corona cases in the state.
Starting from March 24 midnight, India was under lockdown to curb the spread of novel coronavirus. The lockdown, effective March 25, is supposed to end on April 14.
However, on April 14, in an address to the nation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that the 21-day national lockdown has been extended till May 3.
On May 1, the Centre again extended the ongoing nationwide lockdown for two more weeks with effect from May 4 till May 17 while allowing different sets of relaxations in red, orange and green zones.
On May 17, the Union Home Ministry again extended the ongoing lockdown till May 31.
