Haryana Govt suspends two district officers for ignoring CM wndow complaints

CHANDIGARH:  Haryana Government has suspended two district-level officers and three other employees for neglecting complaints lodged on CM Window. Orders were also issued to initiate action against two retired officers for committing irregularities during their tenure, recover amount from former Principal of Industrial Training institute for embezzlement, and to register case against all office-bearers of a cooperative society for embezzlement.

This was disclosed by Additional Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Dr. Rakesh Gupta, and Officer on Special Duty to Chief Minister, Mr. Bhupeshwar Dayal, who were presiding over a meeting to review complaints received on CM Window held here today. 

The officers later submitted report to the Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal, who said that employees who do not redress the grievances of the people in a timely manner would have to bring about a positive change in their working. Negligent employees would not be spared, he added.

The Chief Minister issued orders to suspend District Food and Supplies Officer of district Palwal, who did not take any action in spite of receiving several complaints regarding irregularities being committed in distribution of ration to poor families. Several such complaints were pending with him in spite of the officer being warned earlier.

The Chief Minister also issued orders to suspend DETC, Palwal, Ombir Singh, Inspector Suresh Kumar, Mukesh and Vikas for alleged irregularities in allotment of liquor vends, besides initiating action against retired AETO Kamla Dhankar and Jagbir Singh.

He also issued orders to recover amount embezzled by former Principal of ITI, Narwana, Praveen Kumar, and to register case against office-bearers of Vita Cooperative House Building Society, Ambala City in another case. He also ordered Police department to arrest the accused in case of kidnapping and rape of minor girl, within one week.

Dr. Rakesh Gupta said that meetings of nodal officers from four departments would be held for review of complaints received through CM Window and social media. The presence of Heads of Departments in these meetings would be mandatory.
