New Delhi: The MEA said it is facilitating the return of all foreign nationals presently in India to their countries and these include nationals of Pakistan. It has already extended the visas of all foreigners in India to April 30.
After Pakistan officially contacted India, sources here said 180 Pakistanis are presently in India and want to go back. “We are coordinating with concerned authorities to facilitate their departure,” they said. India had made special arrangements to send back at least nine medical visa cases back to Pakistan.
At least 40 Pakistanis will be among the first batch of 180 who will return home via the Wagah border in the coming days.
Like nationals of many countries, these Pakistanis have remained stuck in states such as Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and UP.
