AIR INDIA TO AIRLIFT STRANDED INDIANS OUT OF CHICAGO, USA

CHICAGO - Air India is lifting stranded Indian Citizens out of Chicago on 11 May 2020 to Mumbai, and on 15 May 2020 to Delhi. Air India has scheduled two flights for the purpose. 

 
The first flight takes off on 11 May 2020 at 11:25 PM will fly to Mumbai and onwards to Chennai from the O'Hare International Airport, Chicago. The related incoming flight takes off from Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi on 10 May 2020 at 220 AM IST, and arrives at the O'Hare International on 10 May 2020 at 07:25 AM CST.
 
The second flight takes off on 15 May 2020  at 11:25 PM will fly to New Delhi and onwards to Hyderabad from the O'Hare International Airport, Chicago.  The related incoming flight takes off from Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi on 14 May 2020 at 220 AM IST and arrives at the O'Hare International on 14 May 2020 at 07:25 AM CST.
 
The seat reservations is wholly solely the discretion of the  Embassy of India in US at Washington DC. The qualifying travelers may apply for a seat on either of these two outbound flights through India Embassy's website. The seats for the flights inbound from India to Chicago are available for reservations on Air India's website. These seats can be reserved through open booking on the first-cum-first serve basis till available. Air India website address is www.AirIndia.in
 

On arrival in India, the passengers travelling by these two flights will have to undergo a 14-day mandatory quarantine, either in a hospital or in an institutional quarantine on payment-basis. They will also have to bear the expenditure of travel and mandatory quarantine for self and accompanying family members, if any.

The passengers are required to report at the Air India checking-in counters at Terminal 5, at 6:00 PM CST on the day of respective departure i.e. on 11 May and 15 May 2020. Only one piece of hand baggae weighing 8 kgs is permitted. Seperate laptop bag is not allowed. Passengers must wear a mask. Passengers requiring a wheelchair must make an advance request.
 
The passengers will be thermally scanned for Coved-19 Virus infection, while in the queue, prior to the issuance of the Boarding Pass. On arrival in India, the passengers travelling by these two flights will have to undergo a 14-day mandatory quarantine, either in a hospital or in an institutional quarantine on payment-basis. They will also have to bear the expenditure of travel and mandatory quarantine for self and accompanying family members, if any. The meals will be served onboard.
