The city of Newark in US' New Jersey has rescinded a sister-city agreement with United States of Kailasa (USK), the purported nation formed by absconding rape-accused self-styled godman Nithyananda.
It cited deceptive circumstances surrounding the fictional country and termed the incident as regrettable.
The agreement was entered into on January 12 and it was rescinded on January 18.
