She relished the cuisine that has been winning over the palates of one and all in America, a land foreign to it.

She described Biryani as “something that we pride for as different cuisines from different ethnicities. Talking about Biryani’s ethnicity, Mayor said “Definitely the flavors [of Biryani] are different from what we [Americans] are used to.”

Biryani is an aromatic preparation of rice. It involves cooking together of semi-cooked rice and semi-cooked meat or vegetables under pressure over slow heat with added spices that add aroma to it. The preparation styles vary from region to region, and so do the ingredients. As a result, Biryani from different regions carry different taste and flavor. In Chicagoland, Biryani from India’s Deccan Plateau region is highly popular. It referred to as Hyderabadi Biryani.

Hyderabadi Birayani is not the only type that Bawarchi offers. It has on its menu a list of distinct biryanis from different regions.

Bawarchi also offers Biryani’s sister preparation called “Pulav.” Pulav is prepared with ingredients similar to those of Biryani; but preparation technique and steps are different. So are taste and flavor.

Bawarchi Menu offers 27 types of Biryani and 22 types of Pulav. Its also carries sides, and appetizers to make complete dinner setting.

Explaining the menu Mr Madan Pamulapati said: “Bawarchi offers a diverse menu rooted in both Northern and Southern Indian cuisine, expertly influenced by our talented chefs.

He said, “Our success lies in the simplicity of our approach: we meticulously select quality meats, authentic spices, fresh vegetables and herbs sourced from specialty vendors.”

Speaking about the consistency of taste, Madan Pamulapati explained that “our culinary experts, steeped in generations of safeguarded recipes and meticulous cooking techniques, craft dishes that evoke the rich aromas and flavors of traditional Indian food.”
