CHANDIGARH: Major General AK Sanyal, Headquarters Western Command gave away the sports Banner & the Best Infantry Battalion Trophy to Colonel Vijay Chahar, Commanding officer, 105 Infantry Battalion (TA) RAJ RIF. The Chief Guest also gave away the Trophies for various sports and other overall Trophies and complimented the zeal and enthusiasm of the participating Units and especially all Officers, JCOs and Jawans of 105 Infantry Battalion (TA) RAJ RIF for their exemplary performance.

Brig Vinod Bhadu, Commader, Group Headquarters Territorial Army Western Command said that a critical and objective assessment is made to select the best performing Unit and individuals as the winners, with weightage given to personnel being selected for Territorial Army Group teams and participation in Command, Army, National and International events.

 Major General AK Sanyal, said that it is a matter of great pride that eighteen Territorial Army sportsmen had displayed outstanding skills and participated in sports events at the apex level. He complimented Major Varoon Parmar of 105 Infantry Battalion (TA) 

RAJ RIF for representing the Territorial Army in various Service, National and International Golf Championships. He also praised Rifleman Vijay Yadav for winning the Silver Medal in the Inter Command Boxing Championship, Rifleman Sunil Kumar for the Bronze Medal, Rifleman Manjeet & Rifleman Sunil for their participation in the 25th Senior National Wushu Championships and Rifleman Kuldeep for his selection to the National Wrestling Team
