Argentine meteorologist Celeste Saulo has been elected as the first female Secretary-General of UN's World Meteorological Organisation (WMO).
Saulo has served as the director of Argentina's National Meteorological Service since 2014.
An experienced academic and researcher, Saulo succeeds Petteri Taalas, who will step down after two terms at the WMO.
