Chandigarh, April 6: The Punjab Education department has issued show-cause notices to 57 more 57 School heads or in-charge against boycotting the non-teaching task and ‘Padho-Punjab’ project. A day before the department has issued show cause notices to the 32 School heads for the same.

All the heads have been asked to reply in 10 days to avoid strict action, which may go the suspension under section 10 of Punjab Civil Services (Punishment and appeals).On the other- hand, the outfit of teacher has announced to hold protest and Gherao DEO office in Kapurthala as all the school heads, who have been issued notices, are belong to Kapurthala, on April 9.The allegations of the teachers are that despite the assurance and promises, the Government has failed to fulfil it. The outfit ‘Sarkari School Sikhya Bachao’ told that on April 9, the teacher will burn show cause notices as protest as they have already started non-cooperation movement against the Government. Leaders of the outfit told that if the Government did not withdraw show cause notices, more than 50,000 teachers will hold gherao office of the DEO.
